Hardware Specifications

CPU

For an optimal experience, the lessons require a computer with an Intel Core i5 processor or better.

RAM

The lessons require a system equipped with a minimum of 8GB RAM or a superior configuration for optimal performance.

OS

The lessons support Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It is recommended that you use one of our recommended web browser versions and make sure your operating system is up to date.

Best Play Experience

Calm Your Farm is designed for an optimal performance on a wide range of desktop computers, laptops, and a limited set of modern tablets. While the courses are accessible on handheld mobile devices, we advise against it due to a suboptimal user experience for reading text and making selections with the UI on physically small devices.

Network Specifications

The game is freely accessible online with a stable internet connection, the average download size of a lesson is 10mb.

Should you run into issues within the school environment, we suggest you contact your local school or Department wide IT support and request whitelisting of the Calm Farm domain.

You can add this domain to the whitelist of domains on your school's network by contacting your school's network administrator:

www.calmfarm.education

Please note:  Whitelisting domains may not occur instantly in your school network, this step may need to be done in advance of any planned lessons using this content. We suggest preparing this and testing ahead of time within your school environment. Make sure to test the lessons on the school internet connection to check accessibility before starting your class.

Lesson Configurations

Customise your classroom experience with media settings for the lessons. These options allow you to adjust display quality or to mute music and voice sounds.

Sound Effects And Music

Calm Your Farm features sound effects and music. These options can be switched on and off in the classroom provided students have headphones. These options can be muted and unmuted by clicking on the menu icon (three lines in the top left hand corner) and toggling the sound effect and music options between on and off.
